If you have made it here, you will see I have not posted since April. I have no excuses, just no real time. I hope to get it started up again, please bear with me.

Avagoodweekend.

I don't know if this shows how sad and depraved I am, but I am just incredibly excited that I am able to watch Big Brother live on the web. I never go for these reality shows, but I have been hooked onto Big Brother from the start.

I know that the housemates have nominated Andy (yes, vote the exhibitionist Bimbo off) Gordon and Sara-Maree. Can't wait to vote.

Calrton won yesterday! We beat the Saints, and hopefully made Aaron Hammill regret leaving us for the big money at St Kilda. Go Blues.

Enough Sunday Morning rambles.

Another ANZAC Day is almost over. It is the day I feel the most patriotic. Bugger Australia Day, all that celebrates is European invasion of a country already inhabited.

There is something about listening to the bugler play The Last Post that gives me goose pimples and shivers quicker than all else. And saddens me as it reminds me of the futility of war. The waste of human life.

One day, I will get off my fat arse and go to the Dawn Service at the Shrine here in Melbourne. My travel dream is to attend the service in Gallipoli. To see for myself the steep, high, rocky cliffs that our soldiers faced as the landed on the shore under a barrage of enemy fire. To maybe understand why. Na, that will never happen.

"They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn.
In the going down of the sun,
and in the morning,
We will Remember them."

Lest we forget.

I should either do this more often, or give it up completely. It's not like anyone is reading this anyway.
I never get a chance to read other people's blogs either. So do I give it up? Give it up and spend my time wondering how people can see Harry and Ginny together.

Been reading a Harry Potter fan fic piece, based around his wedding to Ginny Weasley. Now this seems to be a popular couple. Me, I just can't see it. This story though is actually about Ron and Hermione who split six years before, and see each other at Harry and Ginny's wedding. Oh, the intrigues of those witches and wizards!

Ok, I have reached that point. My eyes are sore, actually, they are starting to sting. But I MUST finish this one fanfic. I still have loads to catch up on, but need to finish this one tonight. Anyway, hope you guys are enjoying your Mondays. Mine turned out to be quite good!

Arrivederci e buona notte.

Reading your blogs, I just realised it's tax time for you guys. When is your financial year? Also, I have noticed some great web graphics out there. Actually, everyone's looks pretty darn good. I think I may be up for the long haul tonight. I am currently reloading AOL IM so I have to shut all the windows. Can't wait to get into chat!

I am slowly wading through all your blogs. I won't get a chance to comment, but if it's on my list, I will read it before I retire for the morning! But I will have to find some bloggy reading music to put on softly in the background. Not sure what yet.

IT'S THE HOLIDAYS! I CAN STAY UP LATE TONIGHT BECAUSE I CAN SLEEP IN TOMORROW!!!

Just wanted to share that. (Giggle) One week down, one week to go. I love the school system!

I can't believe this place is still here!

I am still catching up on the lost files, bookmarks. Sigh. I hate dormant virus that only leave you with six or so crappy files and wipe everything including the stories you have written and (very stupidly) not saved anywhere else. Sigh. breathe in, breathe out.

I will not swear. Not here. If I don't swear, then I may get away with blogging at work, and save the reading for home. Everything we send and received goes through a filter, and all swear wirds get picked up by our administrator and we get a little talking to from our TCS co-ordinator. Sigh. Sometimes the Catholic School System is such a b.... . (There, I can do that, can't I?)

I can't believe there areonly two weeks until the school hols. Where has the time gone? As I do at this time of term, I stop and think "What the f*** have I taught these kids? They still can't read." Mind you, they have only been at school for eight weeks. And they DO know what a full stop is. (I KNOW I taught them that!!!)

I am in the middle of reading one of the best fan fics I have read, but it is a Harry Potter one. I started on this Harry Potter for Adults discussion group, (Thanks Heather M!), which I left after a few days. I couldn't handle the Harry/ Hermione vs Ron/Hermione arguments. There was too much fan fic to get into, but I did start one, which actually takes place during "Goblet of Fire". It is fantastic, the author writes "lost scenes". I think it is nearly up to the end. So exciting!

Speaking of exciting, football season is back this weekend! YES!!! It has been TOO llong! Becasue of the Olympics last year, footy finished a month early, which means we have had to wait a month longer. Unfortunately, the first game is interstate. There are only two or three of those this season, but I wish it didn't have to be first!

My fingers are still tingling from my guitar lesson tonight. We learnt finger picking, which is going to be a bitch. That and the c chord. Still, the price we pay for music.

Going to finish reading the fan fic, then go to bed. Hope to catch up on blogs soon.

Buona notte a tutti.

It has been a long time, over three weeks in fact. Time just slips away.

Some nights, I am just too tired to even go on line. Other nights, I just want to read. Or watch tv. Then there is the guitar practice I need to do. Sometimes I think it's just all too much. (Which is a good beatles song too by the way)

It's 1.35 am at the moment. Why I am still up, I don't know. I have been fighting fatigue for the last hour and a half. BUT Daylight saving ends this morning. In 24 minutes actually. We get another hour. SLEEP!!!

I rediscovered this crappy old PC game I used to play years ago, called Supaplex. Kind of a pacman creature has to get these, shit, I have been playing this for years and don't know what they're called, little neutron type things while avoiding mad scissors and rocks etc. It has over 100 levels, I am up to level 73. That and listening to my new Hollies cds have sort of taken over at the moment.

It's funny, but every year, I seem to get obsessed by some new band. Or not so new as in the case of the Hollies. And I mean, obsessed where I buy nearly everything they released, or want to, read everything I can about them, listen to them non stop. Thinking back over who these bands have been, I shudder now with embarrassment. I mean, New Kids on the Block? Wa Wa Nee? The best was three years ago, when I became obsessed with Everclear. And waited outside after seeing them in concert. And getting them to sign my t-shirt. And drooling over Art Alexakis, who is so nice.

Music rules my life. Surprisingly enough, I have nothing playing at the moment. Can't be bothered changing the cd. Anyway, putting a new one on means I will probably make some sort of commitment to staying on line for a bit longer. But I think I am ready for bed now.

Almost.

But I have to share this. My worst case of writers block is over! Last Sunday night I finished a story I started in December 1999. YAY me!It is currently going through the "revising" process (as we have to call it when we teach writing) at the moment, but should be ready for "publishing" soon. Can't wait.

And before, I was speaking of obsessed. How's this? Last week, I bought a paperback copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I already have it in hardcover, as well as the American version . I now have reading copies (paperbacks) of all except the fourth books, and that is only because it hasn't come out yet. I have them all in hardcover. Best bit of all, the book was only $8 (as opposed to $13 in the stores). If there are any other HP fans out there, I can thoroughly recommend getting the two new books. (Fantastic Beasts & Where to find them; and Quidditch Through the Ages) Shows what a funny and talented writer Joanne Rowling is.

Well, enough for me. I need sleep! Hope its not another three weeks before I get to this again!
